What it does
Students work in real Excel with instant feedback. Instructors get grading and evidence of the work without collecting files.
Instant, in-cell checking
Answer cells turn green or red as students build, and a progress bar tracks how far they have got. The answer key stays on the server and never ships in the workbook.
A different scenario for every student
Each assignment carries many sets of inputs, so students have different numbers from their neighbors. A model that works for one scenario has to work for all of them, which rewards robust, well-built models.
Verified work
While an assignment is open, the add-in records its activity: edits, formulas and active time. Instructors can see that the work happened in the workbook, not somewhere else.
Built for practice and competition
Timed games, live scoreboards and a library of past Excel esports cases turn modeling practice into something students want to repeat.
How it works
Instructors keep their own workbooks. Grid Professor adds the grading.
Build it in Excel
Start from a workbook you already teach with. It becomes an assignment with its own answer key and a set of scenarios.
Students open it in Excel
Students open the assignment workbook, click GridProf Grader on the Home tab, and sign in. Their scenario loads, and the checking starts.
See results as they happen
Scores, active time and activity flow into the web app for each class. There are no files to collect and no answer keys to share.
